What others are saying...
This course opened my eyes to what my dog is really communicating. By simply adjusting my own body language, everyday tasks like putting on a harness have become so much easier.
Clear, practical, and easy to follow at your own pace.
Kelly, parent of Santa, a Miniature Poodle

This course is super thorough and absolutely a must for every dog owner. Even though I’ve previously taken different courses and webinars, and read various books about dog body language (I feel like I’ve been more interested in educating myself than the average dog owner), after completing this course I have to admit that my previous knowledge wasn’t really sufficient.
I’m so, so happy I took this course. One of the best moments was recognizing examples of similar behavior patterns that humans do, which dogs also use. It really clicked for me.
Terry, parent of Happy, a Portuguese Water Dog
This course is incredibly useful, very easy to follow, and clear. I think every new dog owner should absolutely have this. If I had access to materials like this seven years ago, I wouldn’t have made some of the mistakes I did with Logan out of sheer lack of knowledge.
You’ve done such invaluable work, and I really hope the knowledge in this course spreads like wildfire so that every dog owner can benefit from it. I promise to share it with my friends. I sincerely hope this golden course reaches a wide audience and that your years of hard work are quickly rewarded.
Triinu, parent of Logan and Sofi, Stabyhounds

Who is the author and teacher of the course?

I hold a BSc in Animal Behavior from Aberystwyth University in the UK, where I focused on understanding how animals communicate and interact. One of my three university years was spent at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, whose Animal Science program is ranked first in Europe.
I’m a certified dog trainer and behavior specialist with the Nordic Education Centre for Ethical Dog Training, where one of my main teachers was Turid Rugaas. Turid is a world-renowned dog behaviourist who, in 1992, was the first to document the calming signals that are central to dog communication, changing the world of dog behavior.
Turid also changed my world — I was mesmerized when I learned about, and began to see, how dogs communicate all the time. My understanding of them has never been the same since... At the same time, it saddens me that dogs’ quiet language often goes unnoticed and is still too little known.
So my goal is simple: to make understanding dogs as common as teaching them to sit.
